How to Create Letters to Canada

The Canada mail letter format is very common and makes up the vast majority of postal mailings. When you want to send a letter internationally, it is essential that you get the details correct (which means using the right format) or you could end up with a rejected letter back home. As well, when you are mailing a letter back home, using the incorrect format can make matters worse if your recipient doesn't receive the mail! For example, in the United States the street address is usually U.S. Post Office Box, but when you are mailing from Canada, you will need the street address and city/state/province. When you are doing this, it is important that the recipients address is also included; this will make it easier for them to find your letter.

If you are looking to send a letter to another person overseas and the recipient lives in a different country than you are, then you will need to use the CANADA envelope format, which is just like the United States Postal Service (USPS) format - the only difference is the capitalization used. Using the Canadian format, you need to use the @ symbol before your recipient's name and where you want to send the letter. If you have any doubts about what type of format to use, then you can check out the United States Postal Service website and see what the current format is. Once there, you can download the letter CANADA format and print it off - note that the format is currently only available for physical items sent through mail.

If you want to send a mail item other than a letter, such as a CD, DVD or even an international video camera, you will need to know how to convert the data from the foreign currency so that it can be read correctly by your recipient's mail reader. To do this, you can use the CANADA format along with the USPS system, but note that if the person you are sending the item to lives in a different country, they will need to use the actual postal service. In fact, if you want to send mail to a non-resident in Canada, you will have to apply to have your mail sent to the country's post office instead. In that case, you would simply follow the directions given to you by the local post office. There are also toll-free numbers that will allow you to call in your request to have your mail redirected, and these numbers are generally located in your country's capital city.
